The Teen process can more than a few months because the State of Texas requires 32 hours of classroom time followed by 7 hours of driving time.
The Adult process is a lot shorter than the teen program. Adults between the ages of 18-25 are required to take a 6 hour class, which includes the Written Test, followed by a Driving Test. People who are 26 and older can take the Written Test at DPS. However, most prefer to take the 6 hour class in order to study and pass the Written Test.
You can register on this website under the "Schedule and Registrations" tab. You can also register in person at our location on Pellicano by Americas High School.
We will give you a phone call to confirm your registration and ask some questions for the contract on the phone number provided. We would then need a parent or Legal Guardian to come in and signed the contract Preferably before the 1st day of class.
We will have your registration on file and we will be ready for you on the day of the class. PLEASE make sure to bring a Photo I.D. and the remaining $60 to pay your balance.
Due to constant changes in regulations to the process of Teens and Adults getting their Drivers' License, we do not include the Classroom portion with the Final Driving Test.
Teens need their Learners' Permit to start the driving portion of the course. This can be obtained after they complete a the Classroom Portion, pass their Written Tests, and after the balance is paid off in full. You then need to make a DPS appointment and present your documents. This can be done using the link on our home page.
This can be obtained from the Students High School. Just Ask the Attendance Office. VALID FOR ONLY 30 DAYS
This can be a Utility, electric, water, gas, or phone bill. The persons whos name is on the bills needs to be present when obtaining the permit.
